Imagine sitting back in a cushy chair, sipping white wine and groovin' out to the latest Bollywood rhythms...40,000 feeet in the air! I experienced this recently when I flew between JFK and Vancouver, Canada...
The on-demand entertainment system included several Hindi films including very popular, recent hits ("Love Aaj Kal", "Kaminey" ), as well as lesser-known films worth watching ("Chintu-Ji" starring Rishi Kapoor). Music-wise, a large selection of Hindi music- recent filmi hits, artist albums and soundtracks, you-name-it, were all available for the choosing.
Nevermind the fact that the flight landed on time both ways (despite some minimal delays on the ground), and the crew was friendly, professional and accomodating.
WHO do I speak of? None other than Cathay Pacific Airways..the best airline for Bollywood fanatics :) I never love flying, but all this made it all the more bearable..considerably! And just for the record, I have not been compensated by Cathac Pacific to say any of this, in any way...I was just happily surprised by my flying experiences and wanted to share. The airline specializes in flights to and from China and other location in the Far East, but flies to other locations around the globe as well.
I''ve even flown to India before and Cathay put that airline (who shall not be mentioned) to shame ;)
